PGS data covers areas offered for award in Tranche 3 of the UK 33rd Round, announced last week by the NSTA.

The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) announced on 3 May 2024 that is has offered a further 31 licenses in the third and final phase of the 33rd Seaward Licensing Round. Offered in this tranche were 29 new licenses and two merges. Of these 21 have drill or drop commitments, one with a seismic acquisition commitment and two with firm well commitments, and the remaining four cover more mature assets going straight to a Second Term. Most the licenses offered are in the Southern North Sea with three in the Central North Sea and two in the East Irish Sea.

“PGS has MultiClient coverage to support energy companies’ next exploration steps and accelerate the timeline from award to production, with high-quality GeoStreamer 3D seismic, and including the brand new Southern North Sea 3D Vision over awarded blocks. We’ve got you covered!” says Sonia Peréira, VP Sales Europe at PGS.
