PGS has received approval from ANCAP to reprocess and rejuvenate its Uruguay MC3D GeoStreamer dataset, originally acquired in 2012. Covering an area of 15 600 sq. km, this data provides indispensable insights into Pelotas Basin prospectivity.

The reprocessing sequence is designed to unlock further opportunities within the Pelotas basin, helping to redefine exploration frontiers in this region. The Imaging will be conducted by a team of highly experienced geophysicists in the PGS imaging center in Houston. Cutting edge technology including imaging with multiples (SWIM), Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) and Least Squares imaging will bring the high level of resolution and fidelity required in this frontier basin.

“PGS's commitment to innovation and excellence drives us to deliver superior data quality, helping our clients understand the subsurface better. As we progress, we look forward to sharing more updates and insights into this exciting project, so stay tuned!” says Adriana Sola, Senior Business Development Manager South America at PGS.
