The latest global ranking of most powerful supercomputers (TOP500) and the greenest (Green500) confirm PGS' leads in high-performance computing. PGS is the only seismic imaging company in the TOP500 (136) and in the Green500 (102).
The largest energy companies top the list of non-vendor private entities, TOP500 spots were held by Eni (9, 33, 128), Saudi Aramco (11, 19, 117, 223, 241), TotalEnergies (21 and 81), and Petrobras (46, 94, 129). The largest companies have invested in HPC infrastructure.
Big energy companies are also present in the Green500, with Eni (19, 33, 131), Total (25, 170), Petrobras (34, 38, 42) and Saudi Aramco (88, 144, 183, 185, 228). PGS is in the top group at 102.
HPC is Moving to the Cloud
PGS initiatives on advanced digitalization methods and migration to Google Cloud Platform are further reducing the Company's environmental footprint in seismic imaging.
