The PGS data library offers excellent coverage for new and near-field exploration in the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and the North Sea. PGS rockAVO atlases for NCS support the seismic interpretation work needed for block applications.

The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy announced APA 2022 on 14 June 2022, with outlines of predefined areas in the North Sea, Norwegian Sea, and Barents Sea. The deadline to apply for APA 2022 is Monday 12 September 2022 at 12:00. The areas include an additional 28 blocks in the Barents Sea, and areas relinquished before 12 June 2022.

"Even after decades of activity on the NCS, there are still plenty of near-field opportunities in these areas. GeoStreamer, Geostreamer X data and broadband rejuvenation will support new discoveries in the areas available in this year's round,” says Sonia Pereira, VP Sales at PGS.
