The PGS data library offers great coverage in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and the Barents Sea for new and near-field exploration in mature areas of the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy announced APA 2023 on 10 May 2023, with outlines of predefined areas in all areas of the NCS. The deadline to apply for blocks is Wednesday, 23 August 2023, and awards are expected in early 2024.

This year, the predefined areas have been expanded by 92 blocks, with 78 in the Barents Sea and 14 in the North Sea.

"The Norwegian Continental Shelf remains highly prospective, with easy access to infrastructure and markets. PGS has advanced seismic data that will support new discoveries in the areas on offer. GeoStreamer, GeoStreamer X data, and PGS Vision products offer reliable broadband quality for prospect assessment and evaluations,” says Sonia Pereira, VP of Sales at PGS.

PGS MultiClient seismic data is also suitable for CCS and offshore wind activities, in areas assigned for those purposes.
